Supreme Court Will Examine Healthcare Law in March

The Supreme Court will hear arguments on the constitutionality of the healthcare reform law and other issues pertaining to it for three days starting March 26.

Analysts and lawyers do not expect a decision in the case until late June.

The hearings will open March 26 with a one-hour debate on the threshold issues of whether a federal law called the Anti-Injunction Act makes challenges to the mandate premature until 2015.

George Patton Jr., an appellate lawyer with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP in Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis, explains that anti-injunction deals with whether the Court must wait until a tax is imposed on those who don’t want to buy individual insurance, and then a lawsuit filed, before it can act on the case. Most seasoned caravanners are extremely fond of our caravans and it is therefore perfectly natural that we would seek the best caravan quote we can in order to try and maximise protection.

Of course, there is also the question of cost and for some people the best caravan quote may be that which is the cheapest.

So, is it possible to definitively state which is the best caravan insurance quote?

In practice, this may be difficult, bordering impossible.

The fact is that no two people are likely to have the same idea of what best means in terms of their caravan insurance.

Congress Readies to Punt NFIP Again

WASHINGTON—The Senate is preparing to vote on legislation next week which would extend the current National Flood Insurance Program for at least six months, confirming that the outlook for a long-term extension for the program any time soon remains cloudy at best.

Officials of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) say the Senate leadership was working on a bill that would extend the program until May 31.

Action is needed promptly because the current extension of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) expires Dec. 1
