Cheap Car Insurance & Older Drivers
I have just been watching a clip for a documentary that is on BBC tonight about elderly drivers and I was torn between being completely shocked and wanting to laugh at the 80 year old man who had managed to flip his car on a quiet residential street with no other cars around.
As an experienced driver, I am used to meeting two types of people on the road – younger drivers and elderly drivers. I know that people complain about younger drivers and how fast they go but, in my opinion, elderly drivers provide a greater threat to cheap car insurance premiums.
I had one over the weekend. The older guy could barely see over the wheel of the 4×4 he was driving and pulled out in front of me without looking. He then waved his fist at me as if I was the one that should not be on the road despite the fact he was obliged to stop and give way.
The documentary tonight will certainly be interesting to watch.
